System Requirements

The following is a list of the hardware and operating systems supported by DTS:

  • IBM AS/400 and iSeries,
  • IBM RS/6000/AIX,
  • Compaq OpenVMS and VAX/VMS,
  • Compaq Tru64 UNIX,
  • Compaq/Digital ULTRIX,
  • HP-UX and HP MPE/iX,
  • Intel PC/LINUX,
  • Windows 3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, Windows NT and 2000.

  1. SLU-P protocol is used for IBM/IMS connection. DTS software is not needed in the IBM/IMS end.
  2. Not a full-function DTS but a DII (Distributed Inquiry Interface) implementation, front-end (client) services only.
  3. DTS front-end (client) functionality for all standard Java applications and applets via the object-oriented DTSJAVA class library, allowing DTS calls from any Java-capable browser or stand-alone Java interpreter.
